It’s hard to argue that fall isn’t the best season of the year. Fall is a wondrous time for businesses. Many brands use fall to start boosting their marketing efforts for the upcoming holidays. How you execute your marketing strategies during fall can make or break your holiday sales. You’ve probably started to notice the rush of fall-themed email campaigns coming your way already. If your inbox is anything like mine, then you’re already starting to receive fall discount and Halloween promos. Here’s a round-up of my favorite fall email campaigns, thus far. These email campaigns are great examples of how you can freshen up your own email efforts this fall.

Etsy – Festive Picks

Etsy’s grid design is easy to scan and is visually appealing. Each card picture is a CTA in and of itself. Click on any one of them and you will be taken to a landing page to purchase.

Julep – Spooky GIF

This one is probably my favorite fall email campaign that I’ve received. I’m a fan of GIFs in emails, and this glow-in-the-dark one is especially attention-grabbing. Julep’s GIF brings the email to life and takes the message to the next level. Using GIFs in email campaigns are fun and a great way to show off products and increase audience engagement.

PayPal – Autumn “Feels”

PayPal’s simple and brief email with an image of autumn leaves makes the email just festive enough while getting their message across. The concept of the email also reflects the relatable benefit of using PayPal’s services. With a faster checkout, you’ll have more time to spend doing things you want, like spending time with your loved ones. Not only is the email in sync with the season, but PayPal is also able to tap into emotion and tell a story with a smart header and copy.

Society6 – Wicked Preheader

Not only does Society6 use an eye-catching header, but they also make an excellent use of the preheader: “Explore fiendishly great designs.” I love the use of Halloween-themed vocabulary in Society6’s preheader. Many of email marketers overlook the use of the preheader, but we know what kind of impact a good one can make. Read more about preheaders here.

Threadless – Fall Offer

Your email campaign doesn’t have to be overloaded with graphics or details to be informative. Sometimes simplicity is best, and this Threadless email campaign proves it. This email is a good example of a brand that keeps the message simple and straightforward while creating a sense of urgency by concentrating the text down to only what you need to know: 1) A final sale 2) 50% off everything.
